How to Effortlessly Choose Love over Fear

Each day is a brand new opportunity to create something beautiful. No matter how we may feel in the present moment, or what’s happened to us in our past, a new day brings a clean slate to focus on what it is that we truly desire.

Life presents us with so many aha moments, rather we pay deep attention to them or not. An intuitive insight, perfectly timed remark from a friend, or an event happens at a divine time in our life that just can’t be explained as a coincidence.

Each and every one of our lives is a continuum of the thoughts we embody, which leads to our behavior patterns, which then lead to the actions we take. Sometimes the results may not match our intentions, but the beauty in this is the only way for us to truly learn is to not have everything handed to us. We need trial and error, as well as grit and determination to see through any worthwhile goal we have set for ourselves.

It’s like a gift and curse to an extent. We aspire for something new, something that gives us an inner spark even when the sheer thought or vision pans past our mind.

The more this dances into our imagination, the more we fantasize and embody the feelings of how it appears in our current physical existence. And the more we believe with our truest hearts desire that a future vision is only but a foregone conclusion to be experienced in our physical worlds, then that reality must occur right?

Well sort of.

Our actions have to match up in alignment to what that vision is. And the clearer we become with what we truly want, the more easier it is for the brain, as well as the energetic being of our bodies, to attract it towards us.

There’s only one semi-problem with this though…. And that is that the brain doesn’t like mixed signals. It likes its commands to be clear and deeply felt on a cellular level, so that it can attach even more familiarity links to the equation.

When we truly feel from the deepest place inside of our entire being that a desire is not only being seen, but has already even been accomplished, then we carry that energetic expression with us in our physical reality.

One of my favorite quotes is “You don’t attract what you want, you attract what you are.”

Be the man you wish to be in the future, today. Be the woman you aspire to be, right now.

The more and more we incorporate daily practices that put ourselves first, then the more we’re able to tap into our most authentic selves and the expressions in which we choose to actively cultivate.

Here’s another thing though. On a physics level, we all know that “like attracts like.”

This means if we’re chronically stressed or overcome by anxiety on a daily basis, then until we create a new vision for ourselves, we’ll continue to attract that frequency to us.

One surefire way to increase your vibration at any given moment is to close your eyes and begin to focus on your breath. Inhale deeply into the pit of your stomach, and exhale all the breath out (both cycles through the nose with the mouth closed).

Continue doing this and at the same time send yourself some love. You can do so by internalizing all the things you love about yourself.

“I love my smile.”

“I love how loyal I am.”

“I love the purity of my heart.”

However that looks for you, just continue to send that love throughout your entire being.

If you’re a bit lighter on time, set a timer on your phone for 5-10 minutes and put it on vibrate.

Over time, this intentional way of slowing down creates new neural connections in the brain and throughout the entire body on a cellular level.

This means you are actively creating a new pattern and taking conscious control of a physiological state the body is accustomed to defaulting back into.

The more frequently we communicate a new and more serving habit to the body and mind, the more we change our baseline, which ultimately creates a new default level.

Stress is something that we all experience on a day-to-day basis. Anything that throws the body off of homeostasis can be considered a stressor.

This could be a temporary self-induced stressor that is meant for our growth, akin to creating any new consistent discipline or pattern (that previously wasn’t embodied). Or it could mean continuing to do something because it’s comfortable and comes easy, even though it’s no longer truly taking you in the direction you’d like to ultimately go.

Think on this for second.

What aspects in your life are you consistently doing that you deep down know you could do without?

This is an area in my personal life that I put a great deal of attention towards on a daily basis.

I believe that anything can become toxic. It’s all-dependent upon the dosage.

If you drink absorbent amounts of too much water in a short period of time, then your kidneys can shut down.

If you eat too many leafy vegetables or raw foods, then you may get too much fiber for your body to process, leaving with you with digestion issues.

If you love exercising, but you do it too frequently and not allow the body to get the adequate rest and recovery in between, then you may actually damage your cells and induce even more stress on the body.

I mention all these to say that each and every one of us need different things, at different times, and of a certain quantity, in order to truly and sustainably increase our quality of life.

There is never completely a one-size fits all approach, and if there was then I believe that would actually take away from the vast uniqueness of the human experience.

While we’re all essentially made up of the same trillions of cells, we’re all different.

We have different families, cultures, ways of nourishing ourselves, friendship circles, values, daily activities, and different things that we like and dislike.

And we’re all gathered here on this planet to figure out a way to coincide with each other, even with all of these differences present.

It’s amazingly beautiful and can also sometimes be frustratingly challenging at the same time too. Quite the dichotomy indeed.

However the more we supremely take care of our most prized possession, and compassionately love ourselves throughout all the ups and downs, the greater abundance we have of that love to permeate out and share with the world.

Love doesn’t compare.

Love doesn’t judge.

Love doesn’t create division.

It is love that truly unites us all.

And the most beautiful thing about it is, the more we love ourselves, the more loving we become towards others.

And the more loving we become towards others, the more loving the vibration of the planet becomes as a whole.

Always remember to let love, peace, and harmony guide you J

I’m curious to know two things:

  1. What is the #1 thing you absolutely love and appreciate about yourself the most?

  2. What would you love to create more of in your life right now?
